Our Mission

Mission Joplin shows Christ's love by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of people who are hungry, hurting or hopeless.

Mission Joplin is a Christ-centered community deeply committed to helping the hungry, hurting and hopeless by providing programs and services that focus on restoration and life transformation. We are devoted to restoring the whole person–physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally and socially, through a Christian approach that helps individuals learn how much God loves them and gain the biblical insight they need to lead a productive life in and for Christ.

Established in 2011, Mission Joplin first opened its doors to provide assistance to victims of the devastating tornado that struck the Joplin area on May 22, 2011. Today, Mission Joplin continues to serve over 2,500 people annually. We are driven by the desire to share the gospel with every client we serve, and we strive each day to spread this unending message of hope.

If you need assistance, visit our warehouse at 2822 E 8th Street (8th & Highview) in Joplin, MO (just west of 7th & Range Line) to receive food, clothes, dishes, toiletries, baby items and housewares.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. -Romans 15:13

At Mission Joplin, we address hunger and hopelessness in a way that is transformational and Christ-centered. We fully believe that in order for someone’s heart to be open to change, we must first meet his or her most basic and immediate needs.
